The MTX-2 is the newest of Microtechs double action folders. Its not so standard features include, Carbon Fiber handle scales, a matching carbon fiber inlay in the blade under the thumb studs, titanium liners and bolsters. The large dual thumb studs are stair-stepped which reinforce the traction needed for easy one-handed opening. MTX-2 can also be opened with its hidden auto release in the bolster. It has pocket clip set for tip up carry and a lanyard hole at the base of the handle. In 2004 the MTX-2 won the American made knife of the year award at Blade Show. This knife gives you the look, feel and warmth of a hand-made knife with a price tag of a production knife.
